ABOUT TAYLOR BOULWARE
Taylor is on a lifelong quest to combine her love of writing with her passion for helping others and making the world better for all. With keen analytical insight, expansive creativity, and a deep commitment to understanding all facets of clients’ mission, history, and goals, she strategically develops effective communications that bring nonprofit missions to life.
Taylor brings an extensive education background to her work at Campbell & Company. In addition to nearly a decade of teaching experience, she served as Assistant Director of the award-winning Expository Writing Program at University of Washington, where she developed composition curriculum and trained writing instructors. As an AmeriCorps volunteer, she was the Literacy Coordinator at an alternative public high school for students at risk of not graduating, where she created reading and writing courses and led a two-year community fundraising project to build the school’s first library.
She holds a doctorate in English from the University of Washington, where she specialized in Rhetorical Genre Studies and American culture. In her dissertation, she posited a new theory for understanding fanfiction and other transformative fan works. She also holds a master’s degree in English and a bachelor’s in History and English, both from Oregon State University.
As the child of an Air Force officer, Taylor grew up all over the U.S., but she calls Oregon home. She currently lives in Chicago with her husband and their two cats. When not working, she loves to cook, bake, analyze media for fun, and, of course, write.
