Taking action to inspire change and celebrate differences.

We embrace our responsibility to help build a sector that includes and amplifies people and communities who have historically been marginalized and under-resourced.

Our firm’s DEIA Council–a permanent body of staff members from across our firm since 2018–oversees the design and implementation of our DEIA work.

The first of our Executive Search team members to become an AIRS-Certified Diversity and Inclusion Recruiter completed that training in 2017. In 2023, 100% of our searches included a diverse slate of candidates; 50% of Executive Director/CEO placements were people of color and 100% identify as women.

We continue to advance inclusive practices in all of our service areas. This includes more inclusive community engagement, case development, and storytelling approaches; ethical research practices; representative leadership groups; and donor recognition policies that celebrate giving at all levels.

Through our Equity Partners Program, we invest our firm in in-depth pro bono projects every year with nonprofits who focus on equity and justice.

We sponsor and engage with professional organizations and convening designed to uplift emerging BIPOC leaders in nonprofit organizations and, especially, in the fundraising profession.
