ABOUT DAN NEVEZ

Dan Nevez has over twenty-five years of professional experience, with 13 years in nonprofit executive search. Dan has advised nonprofit organizations in the recruitment of a broad range of senior leadership, including national and regional searches for CEOs, CDOs, CFOs, CMOs and COOs in different sectors. He currently focuses searches for large national nonprofits to identify top talent for a rapidly changing industry. Dan’s extensive experience partnering with nonprofit leaders and boards, along with his global network, enables him to counsel his clients to find candidates that fit their unique needs. “Is there anything better than being a leadership consultant? Prior to joining Campbell & Company, Dan served as principal and owner of his own recruiting firm, which focused on placing for-profit and nonprofit leaders. For five years, he served as a principal at a national executive search and consulting firm based in Chicago where his work concentrated on leadership searches in the public, private and nonprofit sectors, principally with national clients in Washington, D.C. and California. He has led and supported recruiting efforts for over a hundred search assignments.

Before joining executive search, Dan worked as a doctoral candidate, researcher and instructor at an internationally recognized research institute at the University of Chicago. He has given lectures at major research conferences and published several articles on socio-economic history. As a search leader, he is a frequent speaker on nonprofit leadership, succession planning, recruitment and retention, salary and compensation and career management.

Dan holds a Master of Arts from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Oklahoma, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He is a member of the Association of Healthcare Philanthropy, American Society of Association Executives and Southern California Association for Healthcare Development. He is an active participant in the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Association for Healthcare Philanthropy and the Network of Nonprofit Search Consultants where he currently serves as a Chair of the Survey and Effective Practices Committee.
