Basia Brown

BA-uus-hah Bra-uun | She/Her
Consultant, Fundraising LinkedIn

Basia brings over a decade of nonprofit leadership experience spanning direct service, fundraising strategy, and community-centered program development. Prior to joining Campbell & Company, she held senior roles at organizations including SkyART and Howard Area Community Center, where she led cross-functional teams, secured significant investments, and launched initiatives that broadened access to creative, trauma-informed programming for youth and families across Chicago’s South and West Sides.

Her cross-sector insight is informed by early work in direct service, experience as a fund-seeker, and engagement with institutional philanthropy. Her time with the Robert R. McCormick Foundation, Chicago Housing Authority, and Springfield Urban League provided a grounded understanding of community needs, while her leadership in development and operations has enabled her to translate those needs into sustainable strategy and philanthropic investment. This multidimensional lens positions her to effectively bridge mission and strategy, aligning organizational values with funding priorities.

Basia earned her BA in Human Services with a concentration in Art Therapy from Millikin University and holds a certificate in Nonprofit Management from the University of Illinois at Chicago. As a passionate connector, she remains engaged in alumni development and devotes her spare time to fitness and curating gatherings that bring people together through food, art, and music.
