Kate Roosevelt

Co-President LinkedIn

“At its core, fundraising is a human- and values-centered enterprise, and so discovering and amplifying each person’s unique talents is at the root of what we do. We help volunteer and professional leaders channel their passions and build skills to be engaging champions for their causes. Leaders need structure and support to see the possibilities and stay the course.”

Kate Roosevelt brings to her work nearly three decades of experience working in and consulting with a wide variety of mission-driven nonprofit organizations. As Co-President of Campbell & Company, Kate collaborates with the firm’s employee owners across the country to design and activate a strategic vision for the firm, provide strategic fundraising counsel to clients, develop thought leadership, coach nonprofit leaders, and implement the firm’s DEIA Change Framework. In her client work, Kate’s collaborative spirit, intelligence, and “calm in the storm” guidance have helped nonprofit organizations raise hundreds of millions of dollars. Clients rely on Kate to:

  • Clarify what matters to an organization and its community
  • Synthesize the complex pieces of a campaign or fundraising program into a clear plan
  • Help volunteers find and embrace the unique contributions they can make toward fundraising goals
  • Keep every project focused and moving forward

Prior to joining our firm, Kate worked on various projects as an independent fundraising and management consultant. She served as Executive Director of the Washington Wildlife and Recreation Coalition and Associate Director of the Cascade Center for Public Service at University of Washington.

Kate regularly presents on fundraising topics at local and national conferences and is an active member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Advancement Northwest. She is also on the Board of Directors of The Giving Institute and a Trustee Emerita of Colby College, her alma mater, where she also served on the Campaign Cabinet for Colby’s $750 million Dare Northward campaign. In the Seattle area, which has been Kate’s home for more than 30 years, she serves on the Board of Directors of Jefferson Community Foundation. Kate holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Washington.
