A Strategic Shift to Strengthen Our Core Services

Dear Colleagues and Friends of the Firm,  

After thoughtful consideration, we have made the decision to sunset our Executive Search service line. This change allows us to deepen our focus on the services that have anchored our work for nearly 50 years—fundraising-centered consulting, communications, and strategic information services. 

We want to take a moment to honor the exceptional work of our Executive Search team. For nearly 25 years, our colleagues have placed over 500 nonprofit leaders across 33 states, helping organizations find visionary executives, C-suite leaders, and board members who move missions forward. Their commitment to equity, collaboration, and rigor has earned national recognition—including being ranked three times as a Top 10 search firm for women of color by Women of Color in Fundraising and Philanthropy (WOC®), and four consecutive years on Forbes’ list of the best executive search firms. 

Their work has been mission-driven and people-centered. From building diverse candidate pools to supporting onboarding and integration, they’ve exemplified what it means to be a trusted partner in leadership transitions. 

As we sunset our search practice, we are delighted to share that we are transitioning our current search clients to Lindauer, a respected firm led by Deb Taft, a fellow member of The Giving Institute and a trusted voice in our field. Lindauer shares our values and commitment to the nonprofit sector, with a team of nearly 40 professionals specializing in nonprofit executive search and talent development across arts and culture, healthcare, and education. While we will no longer offer search services ourselves, Lindauer will be our go-to resource for search and talent development moving forward.
