This June, the Giving USA Foundation will release its new, in-depth annual report on philanthropy. Please join Campbell & Company, a proud member of The Giving Institute, as we examine the biggest headlines from giving in 2025 and the trends in generosity we can expect to continue or shift in 2026 and beyond.


Attendees will be among the first to hear the results of Giving USA’s research, and we will provide space for leaders to discuss the adapting world from their perspectives. Our panelists include:

Megan Ross, Ph.D.

President and CEO

Lincoln Park Zoo

Megan Ross, Ph.D., is President and CEO of Chicago’s Lincoln Park Zoo—the first woman and scientist to lead the institution. Since joining in 2000, she has held leadership roles across nearly every department. As CEO, she champions care, conservation, community, and culture. A published scientist and environmentalist, she focuses on animal welfare and connecting people with nature. A recognized expert in zoo ethics, she chaired the AZA ethics board and served on its board. Locally, she’s active in Leadership Greater Chicago and other civic groups. Dr. Ross holds a Ph.D. in psychology and lives in Chicago with her two children.

Brian Zumbano

Vice President, Chief Development & Stewardship officer

San diego foundation

As Vice President and Chief Development & Stewardship Officer at San Diego Foundation, Brian leads donor engagement and fundraising to grow assets and impact. He also serves as Chief of Staff, overseeing strategy, talent, culture, facilities, and CEO initiatives. Previously, he was Senior Executive Director of Development at UC San Diego Health Sciences, supporting the Campaign for UC San Diego. He also held development roles at Columbia University Medical Center and NYU, securing major gifts. Brian holds a bachelor’s from Boston College and master’s degrees in Strategic Communications from Columbia University and World History from NYU.

Carrie Dahlquist brings over 25 years of development and analytics experience to Campbell & Company. Pairing effective communications skills with quantitative expertise, Carrie helps organizations understand how data can drive strategic planning and campaign management and provide accountability and transparency. Her experience gives her a unique understanding of how complex information can impact the big picture and inform the decision-making process.

Kate Roosevelt brings to her work nearly three decades of experience working in and consulting with a wide variety of mission-driven nonprofit organizations. As Co-President of Campbell & Company, Kate collaborates with the firm’s employee owners across the country to design and activate a strategic vision for the firm, provide strategic fundraising counsel to clients, develop thought leadership, coach nonprofit leaders, and implement the firm’s DEIA Change Framework.
