Executive Director

Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) – Twin cities

Jonathan Sage-Martinson joins the LISC Twin Cities as the new Executive Director, bringing over 30 years of economic development experience to the role. Throughout his career, Sage-Martinson has been deeply engaged in the public, private and nonprofit sectors. Most recently, he was CEO for Amplio Economic Development Corporation in Arden Hills, Minn., which invests in local businesses—creating jobs and improving communities across the state. He oversaw a significant expansion of Amplio’s work, including its $200 million loan portfolio, while also serving as an advocate of Minnesota’s small business community.

Previously, he was director of Saint Paul’s Planning and Economic Development Department, a city agency working with residents, business owners, external investors, and local partners to build affordable housing and create opportunities for economic growth. And during his years at the Saint Paul Foundation, he directed the organization’s Central Corridor Funders Collaborative, leading support for transit-oriented development, among other initiatives.

In recent years, he has also offered his insights as a board member of the Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity and the Midway YMCA Community Board. In addition to serving as a member of the LISC Twin Cities Local Advisory Committee, he has been a member of the Economic Development Association of Minnesota and of the Greater MSP Partner Advisory Committee.
