About Janice Promer
Jan has broad, hands-on experience in business strategy, finance and operations in the not for profit as well as start-up arenas, with particular expertise in stabilizing finances, internal controls, and procedures. Throughout her career, she has served in leadership roles at for-profit and nonprofit organizations, giving her experience relevant to both Campbell & Company and its clients. She enjoys opportunities to:

As Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for the Adler Planetarium, Jan was key in eliminating an operating deficit, managing capital projects on budget, and stabilizing the information technology function. Prior to that, she served as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President for Finance at The Erikson Institute, where along with her other duties she arranged tax exempt financing for a new facility. As a result, Jan also has extensive experience dealing with nonprofit boards and fundraising. Jan has also held leadership roles in several leading for-profit institutions: She served as Chief Financial Officer for Success Lab, a venture capital funded start-up in the education space that was twice named to Inc. Magazine’s fastest growing inner-city companies’ list. The first 20 years of her career were spent at Amoco Corporation (now part of British Petroleum) in various roles, including corporate finance, commodity risk management, strategic planning and supply, and logistics operations and financial reporting. Jan holds a BA in chemistry from Northwestern University and an MBA from The Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania.
