Duncan came to Campbell & Company from the Chicago Dancemakers Forum, giving him insights into both the fundraising and the grantmaking process. Prior to that, he served in roles at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, the San Francisco Contemporary Music Players, and the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists. Duncan earned a B.A. from Oberlin College with a major in English and a minor in Art History. In addition to his work at Campbell & Company, Duncan is an active musician and composer. He plays guitar in the indie rock band Forks of Ivy and the experimental trio Orlando, performs and records solo under the name Cairns, and collaborates with Chicago-based choreographers and theatre artists.
