Engaging an Increasingly Diverse and International Donor Base—Updated July 2017

International-Fundraising-updated-cover.pngIn the summer of 2016, we launched a study to explore emerging best practices in international fundraising among universities, colleges, and independent schools. Educational institutions have experienced a dramatic uptick in international student enrollment over the past few decades. This trend continues to grow, with the number of international students in the U.S. reaching a record high of 1,043,839 in the 2015-2016 academic year.[1]

To build on our qualitative and quantitative research, we hosted a webinar in November 2016 with two higher education development professionals and conducted four additional in-depth interviews with practitioners in the summer of 2017. We integrated insights from these conversations into our original findings to provide a richer, more nuanced picture of the international fundraising landscape. Download our updated study to review the new learnings and recommendations.

Campbell & Company is committed to studying this growing trend, and we will continue to produce thought leadership that helps nonprofit organizations understand and implement international fundraising best practices.
