The Short & Sweet Guide to #GivingTuesday, Version 4.0 

Since its inception in 2012, we have seen exponential growth in the popularity and visibility of #GivingTuesday. Now a global movement engaging thousands of organizations worldwide, it’s a day when charities, families, businesses, community centers, and individuals around the world will come together for a common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give to their favorite causes.

In 2014, Campbell & Company created the “Short and Sweet Guide to #GivingTuesday” to assist our mission-driven friends as they prepare for #GivingTuesday. Each year since, we have released an updated version, expanding our toolkit with additional recommendations surrounding end-of-year fundraising, giving platforms, and new donor stewardship. This year’s version 4.0 includes new advice and metrics for organizations interested in tracking the extended impact of the day on their annual fund efforts. Our goal is to assist nonprofits as they leverage #GivingTuesday, telling their stories to inspire gifts that will strengthen the fabric of their communities—locally, nationally, and across the globe.
