Event: Cracking the Code on Young Alumni Engagement

November 9, 2020: 9:00-10:00am Central at the Associated Colleges of Illinois Fall Conference

Our young alumni are graduating into a world that is both different—and more challenging—than the one faced by previous generations. This also poses a challenge to the advancement teams tasked with engaging them.

Join this session to crack the code on young alumni engagement. Communications consultant Christina Black and fundraising consultant Kelsey Nelson will start by exploring trends in alumni engagement, weaving in examples and findings from their client work. They’ll move on to discuss how the pandemic has affected recent grads and what that means for the future of alumni engagement. Christina and Kelsey will wrap up with a series of communications and online fundraising strategies you can test on your young alumni.

By attending this session, attendees will be able to:
  • Understand how the pandemic is impacting young alumni engagement and how their institutions can respond
  • Learn how to gather input and perspectives from young alumni—in ways that feel worth their time and double as cultivation opportunities
  • Implement communications and online fundraising strategies designed to engage young alumni
