Event: Nonprofit Messaging in a Politicized World: Bridging Divides and Appealing to Constituents
June 6-7, 2019: Bellevue, WA at the 2019 Forum on Strategic Fundraising
Exact date and time TBA.
Nonprofit communicators face a big question in today’s highly politicized world: how do I discuss hot-button issues and appeal to constituents while remaining nonpartisan? Organizations of all stripes are grappling with this challenge, and different missions demand different approaches.
This session will bring together multiple perspectives in a candid panel discussion. Panelists will share their communication best practices, explain how they’ve adapted their messaging strategies since the 2016 presidential election, and discuss the nuances of communicating with various segments and across different channels. Our moderator will focus on examples and stories that bring these challenges to life.
Attendees will leave the session with a better understanding of the diverse range of solutions for effective nonprofit messaging in an increasingly politicized world.
