How will having lived and worked extensively in a “virtual” world inform and influence future space use and design, especially in the transitional periods that are likely to persist? What will spaces with public audiences, like those for the arts, education, health and social services, and worship, look like as staff and visitors return to a physical environment? And what do all of these, and the economic climate, mean for not-for-profit funding streams, occupancy planning, and capital commitments?
