Shaun Keister has over sixteen years of professional annual giving program experience and has worked with a broad spectrum of educational, arts and conservation organizations. During his career, Dr. Keister has been successful in designing, planning and executing successful annual fund programs, particularly via telemarketing, direct mail, e-philanthropy and personal solicitation.
Dr. Keister currently serves as the vice president for development outreach at the Iowa State University Foundation. During his twelve-year tenure at the Foundation, he has increased annual giving productivity by more than eighty percent. Through his daily, hands-on experience with the Foundation’s sophisticated annual fund program, Dr. Keister keeps abreast of the current trends and new techniques in the constantly changing annual giving field and is able to bring this knowledge to Campbell & Company clients.
Prior to Iowa State University, Dr. Keister worked with the annual giving programs at Florida State University and The Pennsylvania State University.
Active in the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), Dr. Keister has made over fifty national presentations to large audiences. He earned a bachelor’s degree, with honors and distinction, from The Pennsylvania State University and both a master’s degree and doctorate from Iowa State University.
