About Patrick Chesnut
Working closely with clients and consultants, Patrick Chesnut develops and writes fundraising and marketing materials at the Chicago office of Campbell & Company. By engaging clients in thoughtful dialogue, Patrick illuminates multiple perspectives to arrive at a complete portrait of their capabilities, needs and aspirations. And with wide-ranging experience writing journalism, cultural criticism and plays, he can adopt the most appropriate voice for each organization. As Patrick puts it, “Regardless of an organization’s mission or scope, there is always a very human story to be shared. I help my clients find and articulate this by:
- Working with a wide variety of organizations to extend their reach and impact
- Learning about the inspiring work of my clients
- Utilizing personal stories to illustrate the importance of an organization’s work
- Fitting an organization’s story into a larger, more broadly resonant context
- Helping organizations clarify and articulate their visions”
Prior to joining Campbell & Company, Patrick helped craft media strategies for a major national bank in his role at Starcom Worldwide. Before that, Patrick interned at book publisher Ivan R. Dee, assisting the publicity and editorial staffs by reading and reviewing manuscript submissions, contributing to presentation materials, and blogging.
Patrick graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Harvard University, where he studied American History and Literature and was a member of the prestigious Signet Society for arts and letters. He also served as Arts Chair of The Harvard Crimson and wrote original plays for local children's hospitals. When not at Campbell & Company or obsessing over his beloved Cubs, Patrick enjoys working as a founding editor of an independent literary magazine.
