Molly Rand has 15 years of development experience, including substantial campaign, annual giving and volunteer management experience.  She is particularly skilled at managing development office operations and systems in both small and large shops and in large membership organizations.  Ms. Rand brings to her clients a willingness to take a hands-on role in their fundraising efforts and the capacity to think strategically about all aspects of a development operation. 

Most recently, Ms. Rand served as director of philanthropy operations at The Nature Conservancy in Illinois.  She also served as campaign director, helping the Conservancy exceed its $30 million campaign goal by more than $5 million.  During her tenure at the Conservancy, Ms. Rand managed all aspects of the development office, including the migration to a formal moves management system, annual solicitation, board and volunteer management, strategy development and goal setting.

Ms. Rand began her development career at the University of Wisconsin Foundation as a development officer in the Comprehensive Cancer Center of the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics.  She has served as a director of development/major gifts for the University of Illinois at Chicago and associate director of annual giving at Northwestern University.  Ms. Rand also directed the annual fund at Agnes Scott College in Decatur, Georgia. 

Ms. Rand graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in journalism.  She is a member of the Board of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), Chicago Chapter and co-chairs the Peer Mentoring Committee.  She also serves on the Board of the District 205 Foundation, which provides philanthropic support for the Elmhurst, Illinois public schools.
