Melissa Berliner has twelve years of professional development experience and specializes in campaign management, major gifts fundraising and volunteer development.

Prior to joining Campbell & Company, Ms. Berliner managed multi-million dollar fundraising programs at the Columbia Museum of Art (SC), Victory Gardens Theater (Chicago), and Steppenwolf Theatre Company (Chicago). While serving as chief development officer for the Columbia Museum of Art, Ms. Berliner exceeded all previous records for individual, corporate and government giving. At Victory Gardens, Ms. Berliner surpassed all annual fund goals while the organization pursued its first-ever capitol campaign to build a new home at the historic Biograph Theater. As the corporate and foundation relations manager for Steppenwolf Theatre Company (Chicago), Ms. Berliner helped guide and implement an aggressive campaign to raise close to $2 million in corporate and foundation dollars.

Ms. Berliner holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Ohio State University and serves on the AFP Program Committee.
