Associate Consultant, Executive Search

Mario Avila works as an associate consultant in the Chicago office of Campbell & Company. As a member of the executive search practice, he develops search materials, conducts research, identifies and interviews potential candidates, and assists in the candidate selection process. In addition, he also assists in developing new business proposals and implementing marketing activities for the executive search practice.

Prior to joining Campbell & Company, Mr. Avila served as an account manager at one of the nation’s top technical recruiting firms. While there, he was responsible for generating new business and establishing and maintaining new client relationships. His work focused primarily on placing consultants in the higher education and health care industries. Mr. Avila was also in charge of writing business proposals, conducting client presentations and negotiating contracts.

In addition to his client management and recruiting knowledge, Mr. Avila has experience working in the nonprofit sector as an educator and coach. Before moving to Lyon, France to serve as an English instructor at an elementary school, Mr. Avila worked as a teacher and coach at Riverside-Brookfield High School in Riverside, Illinois.

Mr. Avila received his bachelor of arts degree from Dartmouth College in New Hampshire, where he was a member of the varsity football team and also served as the president of both his fraternity and M.E.Ch.A., a Hispanic advocacy organization. Mr. Avila is fluent in Spanish and has working knowledge of the French language.
