Laurel Jorgensen develops and writes fundraising and marketing materials at the Chicago office of Campbell & Company. Her work includes proposals, philanthropic market studies, development assessments and philanthropic prospectuses.

Before joining Campbell & Company, Ms. Jorgensen worked for the Chicago bureau of The Associated Press, covering topics ranging from a deadly fish virus to the Chicago Bears’ 2007 Super Bowl appearance. As the overnight supervisor, she served as the AP contact for breaking news in Illinois and ten other states. She previously reported from Washington, DC, as a political correspondent for the Waterloo Courier (Iowa), and interned at Crain’s Chicago Business and The Orange County Register (California).

Ms. Jorgensen completed an accelerated master’s program at Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism, graduating in 2006 with her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in journalism. While writing for the Daily Northwestern, the university’s award-winning newspaper, she earned a Hearst Journalism Award for profile writing and a Pacemaker Award for news writing.
