Lela Diaz specializes in fundraising activities including strategy development, campaign implementation and prospect research.  Ms. Diaz is particularly skilled in donor stewardship and management.

Before joining Campbell & Company, Ms. Diaz coordinated Access Living of Metropolitan Chicago’s $18 million Living the Vision campaign, including a $750,000 Kresge Challenge Grant.  While at Access Living, she interned for The Chicago Community Trust in the arts and culture program and conducted a study on arts and cultural programming for kindergarten to eighth grade students in Chicago Public Schools.

Prior to moving to Chicago, Ms. Diaz served as an AmeriCorps volunteer for the American Red Cross of Ventura County in California, where she created high school youth clubs and served on a national disaster assignment.  Other volunteer activities include developing, participating in and teaching educational programs for homeless children in San Jose, Costa Rica for the Humanitarian Foundation of Costa Rica. 

Ms. Diaz holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations from the University of Southern California.  During her undergraduate education, she spent a semester at Univerzita Karlova in Prague, Czech Republic studying the European Union and Eastern European politics.  Ms. Diaz also holds a graduate certificate in the advanced study of philanthropy from Loyola University of Chicago.
