Ken Johnson has worked in fundraising and institutional advancement since 1975.  Since joining Campbell & Company in 1983, he has provided counsel to educational, healthcare, cultural and social service organizations of all types.  Over the course of his career, Mr. Johnson has worked on or provided counsel to more than 50 capital campaigns with goals totaling over $1 billion. 

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Johnson was vice president and director of development for Up With People, an organization dedicated to connecting young people through multicultural, international educational programs.  While there, he successfully directed the organization’s first capital campaign.  As associate director of development at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Mr. Johnson coordinated the activities of a 600-member, nationwide volunteer corps during a $250 million campaign.  He began his career as director of alumni relations and annual giving at his alma mater, Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas. 

Mr. Johnson is a member and former board member of the Greater Cleveland Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP).  In addition to a bachelor’s degree in psychology and history from Southwestern, he holds a master’s degree in education from Texas A&M University at Commerce.
