About Jennifer Alley

Jennifer Alley has more than 20 years of fundraising and leadership experience in the nonprofit sector.  She brings a proven track-record in securing significant transformational gifts for institutions, building and leading major gifts and development programs, and training and partnering with volunteer leadership and staff at all levels. Recognizing that each client’s needs are unique, Jennifer delves into understanding the scope of the organization, collaborating with staff, volunteers and other constituents to identify and assess needs and opportunities, and partnering with them to help execute and fulfill stated objectives. She brings an entrepreneurial and hands-on approach and looks forward to creating a tailored plan for each client through:
  • Helping to assess the institution’s campaign-readiness, build internal consensus, and drive efforts to help clients launch and execute comprehensive capital campaigns.
  • Helping to evaluate development programs and creating a strategic plan to guide the organization in implementing its vision.
  • Collaborating with nonprofits to develop and execute successful donor-centric major gift strategies, engagement and stewardship opportunities.
  • Partnering with clients to create opportunities for deepening and enhancing donor outreach and providing increased sources of revenue.
  • Providing leadership, volunteers and development staff with tools and resources to strengthen the organization’s development program.

Jennifer joins Campbell & Company from Mills College where she served as a major gift officer and led efforts to retool and advance the major gift program.  She has strong experience in the environmental community, having served as the Director of Development, Northern California at the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), and leading the regional major gifts program for the Trust for Public Land’s Mid-Atlantic Region.  While at NRDC, Jennifer created the “Growing Green Awards” and led regional fundraising efforts and solicitations for the organizations $400 million “Partnership for the Earth” campaign.  Jennifer’s professional background includes experience in the arts and culture and higher education sectors having held key development positions at 92nd Street Y, Sarah Lawrence College, the New York Botanical Garden and the French Institute/Alliance Francaise. Jennifer is a graduate of Mount Holyoke College.
