About Damien Berliet
Damien Berliet brings a unique background spanning the nonprofit and professional services sectors to his fundraising work at Campbell & Company. Throughout his career, he has worked with a number of the most dynamic organizations in the arts and culture, higher education, and media, entertainment, and technology, helping them prepare for future growth and achieve their long-term objectives.
Before joining Campbell & Company as an Associate Consultant, Damien served as Special Assistant for Executive Communications in the Office of the President at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC). In this role, he supported SAIC’s executive leadership team in the development of internal and external speeches and keynote addresses, board presentations, donor solicitations, event scripts, and correspondence with institutional partners. At SAIC, he also worked closely with the School’s Office of Institutional Advancement on a number of communications initiatives surrounding SAIC’s new fundraising campaign, Beautiful/Work: The Campaign for SAIC, and its 150th Anniversary celebrations.
Damien began his career at Egon Zehnder (EZ), one of the world’s leading executive search firms. At EZ, Damien collaborated with a number of the firm’s senior partners and consultants to support the successful hiring and on-boarding of senior-level executives (VP and above, often C-suite and board) at a wide-range of clients in media, entertainment, and technology, including start-ups and multi-nationals. He also contributed to various business development and knowledge management efforts.
Damien holds a B.A. in History with distinction from Yale University and an M.A. in Humanities from the University of Chicago.
