Chris Bingley has been involved with annual giving and development for the past six years and currently holds the position of Vice President for Annual Giving and Advancement Services at Washington State University (WSU). In this role, Chris provides leadership to the comprehensive annual giving program and the Advancement Services unit, which includes prospect research and information technology. Utilizing a data-driven approach, Chris has been part of dramatic improvements in the annual giving efforts at WSU.
Chris has experience in all aspects of annual giving, including personal solicitation, marketing, planning, phonathon, direct mail, grant writing, leadership annual gift programs, data analysis, campaign planning/preparation and program development. His experience in advancement services provides a unique perspective on annual giving and the use of data and information systems in development.
Chris first became involved in development as a student at Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Montana. After receiving his degree in English, he taught and coached football, wrestling and track at the high school level. He later served as director and consultant for Middle Grades Connection, a middle school reform effort at the University of Idaho in partnership with the J.A. and Kathryn Albertson Foundation. Chris received his master's degree and went on to direct the annual giving and advancement services units at the University of Idaho.
Chris is active in CASE and district activities as a presenter and volunteer. He also serves on the alumni board for Rocky Mountain College and remains active in local non-profit efforts. He and his family live in Moscow, Idaho.
