Greetings,

Are you more excited than you think you should be about the crocus flowers peeking through the bare winter ground?  Does the soft breeze wafting from newly reopened windows elicit daydreams about your summer golf outing or your next visit to a sun-belt mega-donor?  If so, then you might have "spring fever" and this e-news is for you.

We'd like to connect you with some new ideas to refresh your messages, cultivate future donors, nurture your programs to full flower - and even sow the seeds of change.  We also hope that sharing news from our clients and staff will help us better stay connected.  So enjoy, and happy spring!

CIVICS AND BOOMERS, X, Y - OH, MY!
Annual giving provides a wellspring of new donors for many fundraising programs.  And, for the first time in history, we are soliciting gifts from at least four distinct generations: Civics, Baby Boomers, Generation X and Generation Y.  How do different generations view philanthropy?  What motivates each to give?  What approaches and messages resonate?  How can you apply this knowledge to expand or refresh your own program?

Join us for "Generational Giving: How to Reach Annual Donors of Any Age," on Tuesday, May 13 at noon (central US).  Presented by Shaun Keister, Ph.D., vice president of development outreach, Iowa State University and director of Campbell & Company's Annual Giving Group.

Approved for 1.0 CEU credit for certification or re-certification by CFRE International.  Registration is $145 - complimentary to Campbell & Company clients. Learn more

FIVE CRITICAL CHALLENGES

But, as a group of Washington, DC advancement professionals recently learned, his recommendations would turn the national nonprofit establishment on its ear.  Reported by Jeffrey A. Wilklow. CLIENT BRIEFS
New York's Roundabout Theatre Company received a prestigious Kresge Foundation Challenge Grant of $1 million to match the last $5 million of their $32 million "Partnership for Artistic Excellence: A Campaign for Roundabout Theatre Company."  Be sure to visit Roundabout's innovative new website, Take your seat at Studio 54, which launched in March.  The site engages subscribers and new friends in the last leg of the campaign with tales of the venue's history, the company's artistic vision and an interactive tour offering naming opportunities for each of the seats in the storied 54th Street theater.

American Players Theatre, Spring Green, Wisconsin's well known open-air theater dedicated to performing the classics broke ground for two new facilities: a 200-seat indoor venue and a production support building that will enable year-round training and creative growth.  The projects were made possible by donors to APT's $4 million "Touchstone" campaign, the first in their 30-year history.  APT enters the public phase of the campaign with $2.7 million raised toward their goal.
