MAKE BOLD PLANS
Save the date: Tuesday, October 16 for "Bold Plans, Sound Bold Plans, Sound Strategy: Preparing for Campaign Success."  Why do institutions succeed in BOLD campaigns?  Planning, planning, planning!  We'll explore organization-wide planning to clarify fundraising project opportunities, prioritize tasks in every size development office-and raise more money.  Approved for 1.5 CEU credits for certification or re-certification by CFRE International.  Also just accepted for the AFP International Conference, the session is presented by Trish Roth and Tom Wilson, author of "Winning Gifts: How to Make Your Donors Feel Like Winners."  More information

WOULDN'T YOU RATHER BE IN PHILADELPHIA?
All things considered, you won't want to miss the 41st Annual AHP International Education Conference, October 3-7, 2007 at the Philadelphia Marriot Hotel.  Bill Wickenkamp, Tom Wilson, and Leslie Sturino invite you to stop by Booth 210 in the Exhibit Hall to talk shop or just say "hello."  Campbell & Company is the proud sponsor of the Major Gifts Educational Track.

At the conference, don't miss the "Idea Exchange." Tom Wilson will discuss "Listening to Donors - Essential Skills for the Win-Win Ask."  Learn new ways to listen for motivations for giving and donor perceptions of your organization. Take home techniques to sharpen your listening skills and broaden your organization's understanding of each major gift donor. Bill Wickenkamp's session, "Why Create a Philanthropic Foundation?" will explore the advantages and disadvantages of setting up a foundation for your hospital or health care organization.
